Saegertown Library Book Club
The Saegertown Library Book Club meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the library. The following is the spring meeting schedule with the book selections:
- Tuesday, March 26th–Jane Austen’s Emma (My copy is 450 pages) It is a classic, so you should be able to download it for free. Also it is available at the library.
- Tuesday, April 23rd–Will Schwalbe’s The End of Your Life Book Club—It is a non-fiction about a man and his mother who share their love of books as she travels the last legs of her life’s journey.
- Tuesday, May 21st—Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness (optional)–100 pages and Ann Patchett’s State of Wonder (353 pages)
- Tuesday, June 11th—Sandra Dallas’s Tallgrass—This is an historical fiction/coming of age novel. It is narrated by a 13 year old girl who lives on a Colorado farm that is adjacent to a Japanese internment camp during WWII. She learns first hand about prejudice, fear, tolerance, and righteousness.
