The Saegertown Area Library thanks the Twiford family for winning the “Highest Donations Collected” award.

Kim Brocious and Rachal White won the Kindle drawings. John Weagraff won the Kindle Fire.

John Deissler won the “Hare Award” for the fastest walking time while Rebecca Getchell took home the “Tortoise Award” for the slowest time.

Have you always wanted to write the next great novel? Or do you have a talent for poetry and/or short stories? Get the creative juices flowing and join the Saegertown Writers Group (name open to suggestions) for their first meeting.

When: May 10, 2012 at 7 p.m.

Where: Saegertown Area Library

Feel free to bring poetry, a short story, or an excerpt from a larger work to share. Please limit submissions to a maximum of roughly 500 words. You may also choose to come, listen, participate in the discussion and writing exercise and learn about writing resources. Heather Wakefield will moderate.

Where- The course will be in downtown Saegertown.

When-   April 28,  2012  at  9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Prizes

  For every $10 dollars raised, you earn a chance to win either a Kindle Fire or a Kindle ( There will be one Kindle Fire and two Kindles available.)

  For every $50 dollars raised in pledges, you will receive a Walk-a-thon t-shirt.

Everyone participating will receive a small gift of our appreciation for your support!

Forms/Registration- Either mail back your form and checks to the Saegertown Area Library at P.O. Box 871 Saegertown, PA 164332 by April 9th

Our weekly StoryTime program for preschool-age children will be held on Wednesdays (note change of day) from    10:45-11:30.  StoryTime is offered from September through April for children 3 years old to 5 years old (PreKdg.)  Younger children may attend the program once they turn 3 years old anytime during the course of the year.

Our theme this year is “READING THROUGH THE ALPHABET”.

Please come in and register your child to attend the program.  The first program day will be  Wed. Sept. 28th.
